The creamy stirred summer honey from the garden of the Harnack House is a purely natural product. Each honey has a different taste, as the bees fly to different forages according to the flowers available. This means that the local product is never uniform in taste, but more intense than conventional products from large manufacturers.

Since 2014, Bettina Junkes has been running the small hobby beekeeping business BERLINER GARTEN HONIG in Berlin-Zehlendorf and supplies the bees in the garden of the Harnack House. Her honey meets the standards of the German Beekeepers' Association. The quality of the honey is therefore above the requirements of the German Honey Ordinance.

AWARDED GOLD At the Berlin Beekeepers' Association's honey awards, Ms. Junkes was able to score points with the best honey in 2017 and 2018: the spring blossom submitted was awarded gold. At the 2021 national competition, she was one of five prize winners whose honey was rated with the highest marks of 5.0.
